Run, Run, Run!

I have never been the strongest jogger in the world; I'll admit that.
I am a fast sprinter, but my stamina does not allow me to do such things more like once every couple of years, so when I made the decision to get fitter, jogging was definitely one thing I wanted to work on.

My boyfriend is trying to get fitter as well, and having someone with me to motivate me is really helping. We've decided that Monday is 'Run-Day', so we head out just before dinner and go for a short, but - for us - demanding jog around his neighbourhood.

I thought I'd use this blog post to show you what kind of environment I have been running in, and what I wear while I run and do my other exercises.

If you guys like these fitness inspired posts, whether they motivate you to keep fit or if you just like seeing how I'm going, leave me a comment on this post and I'll be sure to do more for Arms, Legs, Abs and Cardio.

The outfit I wear when exercising is really comfortable, really cheap and really good quality.

I wear a sports bra, running singlet, gym shorts and gym shoes.

I don't have any pictures of the sports bra or the shoes as my camera ran out of memory and then froze (ugggh!) but they are both from K-Mart. K-Mart do sports bras for $8 in lots of different colours and they are so comfy, and my shoes were $22 and have elastic instead of laces, and they are so light and easy to jog in!

My singlet I also got from K-Mart for around $10, and it's super simple, stretchy but not tight and comes in a huge range of colours and styles.

My gym shorts are my favourite part of exercising, and I bought them for $20 at Cotton On Body. Cotton On Body is AMAZING for gym, sport and exercise gear so DEFINITELY check them out ladies!
Mine are black with leopard-print panels on the sides, and they are super cute and lightweight.
They are quite loose fitting, however, they come with a opaque section of cloth on the inside that fits like underwear so your knickers don't show on leg day ;) Such a good feature, and it's really, really comfy.

Excuse the boyfriend's sexy legs. ^^

My boyfriend lives around some really nice houses and scenery, and obviously because I was running I couldn't capture all of it, but we run down from his house through a little pathway surrounded by trees, and get to a country club/golf course type area which is where we take a break before running back home - uphill (yikes!)

I had to include the sign because I thought about how funny it was they have to warn people to not get hit with golf balls.

And of course, what fitness post would be complete without a post-run selfie!

That's it for this post guys!

Thanks so much for checking it out, and let me know in the comments if you want me to do more fitness type posts as I'm really enjoying keeping fit!

I'm going to go make a healthy, massive dinner because running really makes me hungry!

In Eyes - The Next Chapter.

As most of you may know, I have been the vocalist of a band called Here's to Neverland for the past two years. Those years hold some of the most amazing, unforgettable experiences I could've ever dreamed, and I am so thankful every day that I have been so lucky to have those dreams become a reality.

But, as life goes on, all good things must come to an end, and such has happened to Here's to Neverland.

Now, I could sit here and be soppy and say that I miss everyone terribly, and I'd take it all back if I could, and I don't know how to play music without them and yadda yadda blah blah blah, but I won't.

The truth is, since I can remember, I've dreamed of becoming a singer. However, unlike most children with the same dream, I never wanted to be a solo artist. Now that I've toured to some of the biggest and smallest cities in Australia with 5 of my best friends in the whole world, I can't imagine doing it all over by myself.

So, although I do miss the guys and all the fun we had over the past 2 years, I can't let my dream and my current position within that dream to go to waste.

That's where In Eyes comes in.

Matticus, my bass player from HTN and best mate of 2 years, and I decided to continue our music as best we could. We decided to change the band's name from HTN to In Eyes, and take on a style that we were both more passionate about than pop - because let's face it, pop?

So begins the search for new members, which although the hype of the band after the announcement skyrocketed and boosted our page up by near 100 likes, has been proving to be a bit slow. However, we cannot expect things to happen overnight, which is one of the many lessons I've learned after being in a semi-successful band over the past two years.

I'm super excited for what is to come with In Eyes, and wish the others the best in their endeavours. Hopefully one day, we'll see each other at the top.

That's all for this one kiddies,

Love love,

Rosie xx.
