As most of you may know, I have been the vocalist of a band called Here's to Neverland for the past two years. Those years hold some of the most amazing, unforgettable experiences I could've ever dreamed, and I am so thankful every day that I have been so lucky to have those dreams become a reality.
But, as life goes on, all good things must come to an end, and such has happened to Here's to Neverland.
Now, I could sit here and be soppy and say that I miss everyone terribly, and I'd take it all back if I could, and I don't know how to play music without them and yadda yadda blah blah blah, but I won't.
The truth is, since I can remember, I've dreamed of becoming a singer. However, unlike most children with the same dream, I never wanted to be a solo artist. Now that I've toured to some of the biggest and smallest cities in Australia with 5 of my best friends in the whole world, I can't imagine doing it all over by myself.
So, although I do miss the guys and all the fun we had over the past 2 years, I can't let my dream and my current position within that dream to go to waste.
That's where In Eyes comes in.
Matticus, my bass player from HTN and best mate of 2 years, and I decided to continue our music as best we could. We decided to change the band's name from HTN to In Eyes, and take on a style that we were both more passionate about than pop - because let's face it, pop?
So begins the search for new members, which although the hype of the band after the announcement skyrocketed and boosted our page up by near 100 likes, has been proving to be a bit slow. However, we cannot expect things to happen overnight, which is one of the many lessons I've learned after being in a semi-successful band over the past two years.
I'm super excited for what is to come with In Eyes, and wish the others the best in their endeavours. Hopefully one day, we'll see each other at the top.
That's all for this one kiddies,
Love love,
Rosie xx.
Rosie, I am looking forward to hearing In Eyes and its amazing new style, but I don't think Here's to Neverland has to end this soon. I always liked the sound of HTN. I am not asking you and Matticus to get Josh, Will, and Kevin back. Do you feel uncomfortable performing as HTN with new members? HTN was a great band. Look at these great bands that have gone through several member changes and kept the same name. 38 Special has gone through 15 different members, AC/DC has gone through 20, Molly Hatchet has gone through 21, and the Marshall Tucker Band has gone through 30 different musicians. In 1983, most Marshall Tucker members decided to part ways, but 2 of the founding members eventually decided to bring back the Marshall Tucker Band with new members. Why not eventually bring back HTN with you, Matticus, and 3 or more new members like the Marshall Tucker Band? Best wishes to you all and keep making excellent music.
