One of my favourite YouTubers, Brittney Saunders, (whom you can find here) has recently announced and released her own line of beauty products called NKD BODY. As soon as I found out about the line I couldn't wait to get my hands on some of the stuff and review it for you guys!
The line includes a body scrub (which comes in coffee or mint), a hair mask and a clay face mask.
I picked up one of everything, and my body scrub is in the coffee scent so that I can compare it to FRANK which is a very well known and very highly sought after coffee scrub, which I love dearly.
You can check out the NKD BODY products at http://www.nkdbody.com/index.html
So, without further ado, let's jump right in to this review!
That rhymed. *wink wink*
I'll start with the Face Mask:
The first thing I noticed was how cute the packaging is. It took me right back to lunch time in school drinking ribena for a quick energy hit!
I washed my face as I normally do (I have a video of my skin care routine which you can see here) and opened my mask for the first time. Needless to say, I was very excited!
However, I was a little let down when I tried to get the product out of its adorable packaging. The design is cute, but with a product this thick it did take a bit of strength to push enough product out, and I had to bend the packaging in weird ways - like when you finish a toothpaste and wind it up from the bottom.
Once I had enough out I began applying it to my face. Although it applied like a dream (a little product goes a looooooooooooong way), I must admit I was very taken aback by the smell. At first, I thought my mask may have gone a bit funky in the post, but then I remembered having a similar mask in the past that smelled similar, so it must be fine. After I applied the mask, I actually removed the section underneath my nose because the scent was making me feel a bit queasy :'( .
I let it dry, which it did in record time, then removed it super easily with warm water and a face cloth. It came off so easily! There were no stubborn bits around my nose or hairline and it absolutely just melted away.
The result it left me with was amazing. My skin is naturally quite red and blotchy, and can be quite oily through my T-zone, but when the mask came off, the only redness I could see was each individual little blemish and nothing more! My skin was so moisturised and clean and smooth and all my pores were visibily reduced.
Although the packaging was a bit difficult, and the smell nearly turned me away, I'm so happy I continued to use this product. One of the best masks I've used - 7/10.
Next, the hair mask:
I honestly don't even know where to begin with this product. I have bleached blonde hair, which makes it very hard to manage a lot of the time. I struggle with knots, and dryness so when I find a product that combats all my hair woes, I stick to it - and this is one of them!
I am addicted to the smell of this stuff! It reminds me of lime flavoured jellybeans and the scent transfers onto the hair after use. I smell so fruity and delicious - YAY!
This product isn't as thick as the face mask, so the packaging is just fine. There was no struggle to get the right amount of product out, and is easy to control.
I apply a palm-sized blob of this onto freshly shampooed hair (no conditioner; still wet), and allow it to sit for 5 minutes. This allows the product to soak totally into the hair and work its magic! I wash it out just with warm water. I do the whole process in the shower and it makes everything a lot easier.
I always brush my hair while it's wet, and when I started brushing it out I was pleasantly surprised at the lack of tangles and small knots in my hair! The brush went straight through, with no struggle at all. I always blow-dry my hair which can cause it to tangle even more, and it still didn't!
My hair stayed soft, separated and smooth throughout the drying process, and once it was dry, I noticed it didn't feel as heavy, and was super duper shiny in the sun!
I love this product and will definitely repurchase! 9/10!
Finally, the body scrub:
This is the second coffee scrub I've used - the first being Frank - and I will say this.
It is lovely. It makes my skin feel so soft and moisturised and the coffee smell isn't really super strong on the skin after use.
I got my skin wet all over in the shower and rubbed a handful of this product all over my body, focusing on my dry areas like my elbows and knees, and allowed it to sit for five minutes.
The grains are smaller than those that come in Frank, and are more abrasive so my chest did flare up during use just from the pressure I was using while rubbing it in. Once it was washed off the redness went down after about ten minutes.
While it does smell good, I prefer the scent of Frank as it has fruity accents - this one is all coffee (it still smells great though!)
After use, I definitely found this scrub to be more moisturising than Frank, especially on my dryer areas - however the oils in this product do take a lot longer to sink in. My skin felt amazingly soft on my arms and legs, but my chest took the longest to sink in and wasn't as soft as the rest of my body.
Honestly, I would say this is a great dupe for Frank - it is extremely similar and if you're looking to try something new, or you didn't like Frank too much, give this a go! I really like it - 8/10.
I am super happy with my purchases and am stoked that I can bring you guys this review! Be sure to check out Brittney's channel as well as the NKD BODY instagram account (@getnkd)!

Healthy Hangover Cure!
Last night, I got drunk. This morning, I was no longer drunk, but I was very tired and feeling the effects of a slight hangover. After playing World of Warcraft for several hours, I had a shower and began to feel little pangs of hunger telling me it was time for my hangover feast.
Now, if you keep up with me on any other social media, you will know that recently I have been changing my diet and eating A LOT healthier, to try and combat lethargy, sickness and battle my hyperglycaemia.
Obviously, no matter how bad I wanted a large big mac meal with extra pickles and a shit-tonne of chips, I couldn't, so the boyfriend and I hit the kitchen and made what was surprisingly one of the best healthy hangover cures I've ever had!
It consisted of turkish bread, stuffed green olives, avocado, ham, cheese, chicken and a little bit of salt and pepper! (I'll put the full recipe down below!)
Imagine, grilled cheese on toast, but healthier.
Next time you have a hangover, and have any of these little tidbits floating around the house, I suggest smashing them all together and seeing what you can come up with!
HEALTHY HANGOVER RECIPE:
You will need:
1 avocado (halved)
1 jar of stuffed green olives
1 loaf of turkish bread
A few pieces of sliced ham
A few pieces of chicken (roast, grilled, sliced, whatever!)
Tasty Cheese (or an easily meltable cheese)
Salt and Pepper
METHOD:
1. Preheat grill to 250 degrees.
2. Slice turkish bread to size, and then in half so the crust is on one side and the flesh is on the other (this will leave you with 2 pieces) and put in toaster on a lower heat.
3. In a small bowl (we used a mortar and pestle) combine half the avocado, and a handful of olives, and squish them together until they form a thicker paste.
4. When toast pops up, spread the avocado/olive paste onto the turkish bread slices as a base.
5. Warm up the chicken if necessary, and add the chicken and ham on top of the paste.
6. Sprinkle cheese over the top.
7. Add toast to grill to allow cheese to melt.
8. Remover carefully from grill, sprinkle with salt and pepper and serve!
YUMMY!

We smashed the avocado and olives together and made a patte type spread for the base, which we spread onto lightly toasted turkish bread, added our toppers, melted the cheese and BAM! LUNCH IS SERVED!

Holy Grail Makeup Remover!
For Christmas last year, I was lucky enough to receive a $200 gift card for Napoleon Cosmetics. I first used it to add two of the Devine Goddess lipsticks (Electra and Niki) to my collection, as well as the Mesmer-eyes mascara. I'm a huge fan of each of those products, and I still had some money left on my gift card which needed to be spent, so I picked up the Napoleon Perdis Auto Pilot Duet Makeup Remover, which had been recommended to me by a friend.
The bottle set me back $39.00AUD, and contains 4.65 fluid ounces (137ml) of product. I will it admit, it was a bit painful to spend that much on a makeup remover, however it is a high end brand and for the amount, the price was fairly reasonable. Plus, it was a gift card purchase, so I technically wasn't paying for it anyway! ;D
I was wearing a full face of makeup today, which included primer, foundation, concealer, two setting powders, two bronzers, blush, eyebrow pencil, eyebrow gel, waterproof mascara, waterproof gel eyeliner, kohl eyeliner, an eyeshadow base, two eyeshadows, lip balm, lipstick and lip gloss.
When I got home I decided to bust out the new remover to see how well it did and let me tell you - this is the best makeup remover I've ever used.
The formula combines oil and water which gently removes all eye makeup, and also includes cucumber extract, fennel extract and aloe vera, which are used to soften moisturise and hydrate the skin.
I applied the smallest amount onto 3 small cotton pads and swiped away all my makeup in just a few seconds. A little bit of product goes a very long way which makes it so much more worth the money - this is going to last me ages!
The absolute highlight of this remover for me is the fact that it doesn't pull, catch or dry the eye area. I have very sensitive eyes and a lot of removers end up making my eyes sting horribly, and a lot of makeup wipes are harmful to the skin under my eyes, but the combination of this remover onto a regular cotton pad added hardly any pressure to my eye area and even running it over my waterline didn't cause any irritation whatsoever.
Go and pick yourself up a sample of this bottled-miracle and test it for yourself! It's my new favourite!
10/10! <3
